The conference will be hosted by the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC) in the heart of downtown Barcelona (C. del Carme, 47. 08001 Barcelona). Talks will take place in Sala Prat de Riba and Sala Pere i Joan Coromines. (Venue Map)
Each participant will receive a name badge upon registration. For security reasons all participants are requested to wear their badge during all the Meeting activities and social events

Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will be sent on request. It must be understood that such letters cannot grant any financial support. How to arrive?
The El Prat airport is situated 20 km from the Barcelona city center. Barcelona airport has two terminals: T1 and T2. Travelling from Terminal 1 adds an extra 4 km to the journey and takes approximately 5 minutes longer.
By taxi the journey time from the airport is 30 minutes at an approximate cost of 30 €.
Aerobus: This special service is clearly signposted at the stops outside the terminal and it takes you to "Plaça Catalunya", at 5 minutes walking distance from the venue.
By Metro (L9 South)
The metro line 9, L9 Sud, connects "Zona Universitària" to Barcelona-El Prat Airport (both T1 and T2). From Zona Universitaria take Line 3 (green) and get off at the station called "Liceu".
By train (T2 only)
Go to “Barcelona Sants” mainline station (metro stop “Sants Estació”) which has connections with the metro system (Line 3, green). Take the metro in the direction to "Zona Universitària" and get off at the station called "Liceu"
Take Line 3 (green) in the appropriate direction, and get off at the station called "Liceu".

Rates will vary depending on choice of hotel and season. Please check with the hotel of your choice directly for the best offer.
Another possibility is the Residencia dels Investigadors (Investigators Residence Hall), which has an agreement with the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) and the Catalan Government. It is located just behind the IEC, and is available for short-term stays. Rates range between 70 euros for a single room, to 99 euros for a double room.
